Flæbe
88 Horsdal is a 15.2hh bay based leopard spot Knabstrupper
mare graded with the KNN. She was imported from Denmark
as a foal by Mohammed al Fayed and was broken to ride and
drive.
Flæbe
is an
F2 mare as her pedigree is not complete. Her breeding is
known
but her Grandsire was not graded so cannot be shown on
her passport. However her pedigree is interesting and she
is
of a type which is often called 'Baroque'. Flæbe is completely
bombproof to ride, jumps well and has straight elevated paces.
After we purchased
her we realised that amazingly she had exactly the same
date of birth as Hazel Park!

Elmegaardens
Surprice is a KNN graded Knabstrupper mare from Denmark.
We expect her to make 16.1-16.2hh.. She has been introduced
to our breeding programme as she is a lighter framed mare.
She has excellent paces and will persue either a dressage
or an
eventing career. Her dam Tilde Af Elmgaarden is a few spot
Knabstrupper who was graded with an 8 overall. A photograph
of Tilde is available on Our Horses page.
Her sire is the bay thoroughbred stallion Underworld. |

Underworld
XX The
following was written about Underworld at his stallion grading: "Suitable
size stallion of extremely good type. Beautiful head. Well
set neck. Good shoulder and withers. Good overline. Well formed
croup. Legs correct confirmation, but slightly straight. Paces
good and rhythmic." Other
comments: "Thoroughbred stallion of extremely good type.
Has been scantly used in the breed, but is influencing with
good paces and the positive thoroughbred abilities. The stallion
is wished to be used more in the breed." Owner’s
comments: "Underworld is the one thoroughbred stallion
in Danish Warmblood that is graded in the most considerable
Breeding Societies in Europe. He is graded in Swedish Warmblood,
Danish Warmblood, Danish Trakehner, Holstein and Hannovarian.
In 1997 Underworld was rented by the Holstein Society in Germany
and the expectations for his offspring was reached. 2/3 of
the colts was priced and 3/5 of the fillies. An extremely high
score! In 1999 Underworld was rented by Swedish Warmblood (Flyinge),
but this year Danish Warmblood has chosen to give the mares
a a chance to use this first class thoroughbred stallion. Underworld
deserves to get the chance to prove strong in his "home
country" as outside of Denmark." |
