Citizen Kane was the first horse we bred. His dam, Ryan's Mist, was the first mare owned by Annabel and she was responsible for starting our interest in breeding horses. Ryan's Mist was an Irish Sports Horse of unknown breeding who was both talented and good looking. She was put in foal to the thoroughbred stallion Standard Bearer and Kane was the result. Kane has provided us with great fun over the years. He successfully evented, completing three 3 Day Events and was placed at two star level. He has also competed successfully in showjumping and dressage. Now in his later years he enjoys life with us hacking out and doing the odd competition. Bess is an eight year old 7/8th TB bay mare by the thoroughbred stallion, Pulsingh and is registered with Sport Horse Breeding (GB). Pulsingh has sired, amongst many successful sporthorse offspring, a Burghley Young Event Horse champion and a four star eventer. We sold her half brother Imposingh who is now competing very successfully in dressage. Bess has only been shown on two occasions. She was champion in hand and reserve champion at the East of England and Peterborough shows when she was a foal. A lack of time on our part means that Bess was only backed and ridden away last year. This year she will be brought on with an eventing career in mind. She has superb paces, is very brave and is showing a bold, careful scopey jump. In the future she will either be for sale or join our broodmare band.
