Elmegaardens Surprice

Underworld xx

Elmegaardens Surprice is a KNN graded Knabstrupper mare we imported from Denmark as a three year old. Standing at 16.1hh. she is a lighter framed mare with excellent paces. To date she has produced three wonderful Knabstrupper foals pictured below. Her Dam Tilde Af Elmgaarden KNN 1951 is a First Premium Graded Knabstrupper mare. Her Sire is the Thoroughbred stallion Underworld who is approved Holstein, Danish WB, Trakehner and Hanoverian. Underworld has sired successful eventers and dressage horses including in the UK Undulette. The following was written about Underworld at his stallion grading:

"Suitable size stallion of extremely good type. Beautiful head. Well set neck. Good shoulder and withers. Good overline. Well formed croup. Legs correct confirmation, but slightly straight. Paces good and rhythmic."
Other comments: "Thoroughbred stallion of extremely good type. Has been scantly used in the breed, but is influencing with good paces and the positive thoroughbred abilities. The stallion is wished to be used more in the breed."
